Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds a Distinguished Chair in Psychology in the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely acknowledged for her pioneering the science of child eyewitness memories as well as using children who have been abused to testify as legal witnesses. Prof. Goodman has published extensively as well as received numerous grants. She has also received several international and national awards. She has worked with a variety of governments and organizations around the globe on policy and research relating to children who have been people who are victims of the law. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of several professional organizations, such as The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policies and Practice.
