Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza, born on June 26, 1984, is a stand-up comedian and actor recognized for her dry humorous sense of humor. She is April Ludgate in Parks and Recreation. After performing improv and sketch comedy for The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Plaza launched her own web series through The Jeannie Tate Show. She later appeared in Judd Apatow Funny People, Scott Pilgrim and the World. It's her birthday today. Aubrey Christina Plaza was born in Wilmington Delaware the daughter of attorney Bernadette Plaza and financial specialist David Plaza. The parents of her mother and father each have an Irish/English/Irish background. Plaza was a student at an Catholic girls' high school from 2002 to 2006 and after that, in 2006, the Tisch School of the Arts in New York University. At the time of her high school graduation she was president of Wilmington Drama League and worked with her school's Student Government. Plaza suffered a stroke in 2004, when she was in sophomore year at college. She suffered from expressive aphasia, and experienced a brief period of paralysis. Her recovery is complete. Plaza has performed improv comedy as well as sketches at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater since 2004. In New York City she's appeared on stage at The Improv and the Laugh Factory. Plaza was on E.S.P.N. 's Mayne Street as well as the Jeannie Tate Show as Robin Gibney as well as the debut season of Terrible Decisions with Ben Schwartz. But she made her debut on Father John Misty's Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings' in 2012. In 2016, Plaza appeared on HarmonQuest for the first time as Hawaiian Coffee a gnome. This year she appeared as Aaron Burr on Drunk History and Cat Adams during Season 11 C.B.S. the television show Criminal Minds. She made an impressive comeback as the character in Season 12. A year later that Plaza will be a part of an independent show called An Evening With Beverly Luff Linn.
